Personal Assistant (Productivity)
@anthropicsAnthropic's productivity plugin: a TASKS.md task list, two-tier workplace memory and a local dashboard so the agent works like a personal assistant.
Low risk: Markdown-only skills that write local task and memory files; external access only through MCP connectors you authorise.
Install Personal Assistant (Productivity) in Google Antigravity
Antigravity loads skills from .agents/skills/ in your project or ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all projects (official docs). Full guide
Install the "Personal Assistant (Productivity)" skill for Google Antigravity. Follow the steps at https://www.antigravityskills.org/install/personal-assistant.md (source: https://github.com/anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins/tree/main/productivity). Before running anything, show me what you will download and whether it includes scripts, and wait for my OK. Install it into this project (.agents/skills/) unless I say global. When done, check that Antigravity lists it as an installed skill.
The agent reads the install file, shows you what it will download and waits for your OK.
Option 2: install it yourself
- 1. Clone the source repository
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins /tmp/kwp
Clone the repository to a temporary folder so you can copy the skill folder out of it.
- 2. Copy into your workspace (this project only)
mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/start .agents/skills/start && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/update .agents/skills/update && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/task-management .agents/skills/task-management && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/memory-management .agents/skills/memory-management
Run this from your project root. Antigravity reads workspace skills from <project>/.agents/skills/<folder>/.
- 3. Or copy globally (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.gemini/config/skills && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/start ~/.gemini/config/skills/start && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/update ~/.gemini/config/skills/update && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/task-management ~/.gemini/config/skills/task-management && cp -r /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/memory-management ~/.gemini/config/skills/memory-management
Use this instead of the workspace step if you want the skill available in every project. Antigravity reads global skills from ~/.gemini/config/skills/<folder>/.
- 4. Check that Antigravity sees it
Start a new agent session and ask "What skills do you have?" (in the Antigravity CLI you can also run /skills). The skill name from the SKILL.md frontmatter should appear.
No API keys needed for tasks and memory. The productivity README does not mention Antigravity; this is a plain folder copy. The skills refer to ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/dashboard.html; in Antigravity copy /tmp/kwp/productivity/skills/dashboard.html into your project yourself if you want the board. The /productivity:start and /productivity:update forms are the Claude Code plugin names: in Antigravity ask the agent to use the start or update skill. Email/calendar/chat sync only works if you have matching MCP servers configured.

What is Personal Assistant (Productivity)?
How to use Personal Assistant (Productivity)?
Key features of Personal Assistant (Productivity)
- ✓TASKS.md task list with Active, Waiting On, Someday and Done sections
- ✓Two-tier memory: CLAUDE.md as working memory plus memory/glossary.md, people/, projects/ and context/
- ✓Decodes nicknames, acronyms and project codenames you use in your tasks
- ✓update skill triages stale items and can pull assigned tasks from a connected tracker or `gh issue list --assignee=@me`
- ✓Optional --comprehensive scan of chat, email, calendar and docs through connected MCP servers
- ✓dashboard.html board view that opens your TASKS.md through the browser's file picker and saves back to it
When to use Personal Assistant (Productivity)
- 1Capture several tasks from one message with owners and due dates
- 2Ask 'what am I waiting on' and get the Waiting On list with how long each item has waited
- 3Expand shorthand like 'ask todd to do the PSR for oracle' into full context
- 4Morning sync that flags overdue tasks and unknown people
- 5Extract action items from meeting notes (the skill asks before adding them)
Installation & Setup Guide
Agent Rules / Prompt SetupFollow these steps (taken from the project's own docs) to configure Personal Assistant (Productivity) in your development environment.
claude plugin marketplace add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins
Documented in productivity/README.md, Installation.
claude plugin install productivity@knowledge-work-plugins
Then run /productivity:start in your working folder (the start skill's own text uses that form).
Install from claude.com/plugins, per the repository README (Cowork section).
Neither the productivity README nor the repository README mentions Cursor, so we do not list a Cursor command.
Usage Example & Verification
1) README example (productivity/README.md, Adding Tasks Naturally): "I need to review the budget proposal for Sarah by Friday, draft the Q2 roadmap after syncing with Greg, and follow up on the API spec from the Platform team" -> What happens: the agent adds three tasks to the Active section of TASKS.md with the person and due date as context. 2) README example (Workplace Shorthand): "ask todd to do the PSR for oracle" -> What happens: once memory holds Todd, PSR and Oracle, the agent expands it into the full request without clarifying questions. Before that, the start skill has to learn those terms. 3) Our example: "What am I waiting on?" -> What happens: per task-management/SKILL.md the agent reads the Waiting On section of TASKS.md and notes how long each item has been waiting.
Start a new session and ask "What skills do you have?" (Antigravity CLI: /skills); start, update, task-management and memory-management should be listed. Then say "add a task: test the assistant, due Friday" and check that a TASKS.md file appears in your project with the task under Active.
Security Review
Static reviewLow risk: Markdown-only skills that write local task and memory files; external access only through MCP connectors you authorise.
Full review: scope, findings, risks
Static review at commit 8444efc. The plugin ships no scripts; its four skills are Markdown files (productivity/skills/*/SKILL.md, 740 lines in total). The start skill creates TASKS.md, CLAUDE.md and a memory/ directory in the working directory, copies dashboard.html from ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}, and explicitly tells the agent not to run open or xdg-open. The update skill may run `gh issue list --assignee=@me` when inside a GitHub repo and fetches tasks from project trackers when an MCP server is available. productivity/.mcp.json lists remote HTTP MCP endpoints for Slack, Notion, Asana, Linear, Atlassian, monday.com and ClickUp, plus 2 empty entries; these need your own OAuth sign-in. The static dashboard.html (3,111 lines) has no fetch or XMLHttpRequest calls and reads and writes your files through the browser's file picker; its only external reference is a Google Fonts stylesheet. The main privacy consideration is that the optional comprehensive scan turns content from your messages into local memory files.
Operational Notes & Known Limitations
Known Limitations
- •Designed primarily for Cowork and Claude Code (README); the start and task-management skills copy dashboard.html from ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/skills/dashboard.html, a Claude Code plugin variable that does not resolve when you copy only skill folders into Antigravity
- •Memory is written to CLAUDE.md, a Claude Code file name; the repository does not say whether Antigravity loads it automatically, so ask the agent to read CLAUDE.md and memory/ at the start of a session
- •Email, calendar, chat and tracker sync need MCP connectors you set up yourself; the bundled .mcp.json lists Slack, Notion, Asana, Linear, Atlassian, monday.com and ClickUp, with empty URLs for Google Calendar and Gmail
- •Tasks and memory are plain files in the working directory, so they are per project folder
- •dashboard.html opens TASKS.md with the browser's showOpenFilePicker and saves with createWritable; it also loads the Inter font from Google Fonts
- •It is a workplace assistant (tasks and context), not a calendar or email client by itself
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Productivity (personal assistant) plugin safe?
In our static review of commit 8444efc it has no scripts: four Markdown skills, a JSON manifest, an .mcp.json connector list and a static dashboard.html. It writes TASKS.md, CLAUDE.md and memory/ files in your working directory and may run `gh issue list --assignee=@me`. Network access comes only from MCP connectors you authorise and from the dashboard loading a Google Fonts stylesheet.
How do I install the productivity plugin in Antigravity?
Clone https://github.com/anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins and copy the four folders in productivity/skills/ (start, update, task-management, memory-management) into .agents/skills/ or ~/.gemini/config/skills/, then ask "What skills do you have?" (Antigravity CLI: /skills). Copy productivity/skills/dashboard.html into your project yourself if you want the board. The productivity README does not mention Antigravity.
Where are my tasks and memory stored?
In plain files in the current working directory: TASKS.md for tasks, CLAUDE.md for working memory and a memory/ directory (glossary.md, people/, projects/, context/).
Can it read my email and calendar?
Only through MCP connectors you set up. The update --comprehensive mode scans chat, email, calendar and docs when those connectors are available; otherwise it skips them and notes the gap.
Does it add tasks from meetings automatically?
No. The task-management skill says to offer extracted tasks and ask before adding them.
