Brand Guidelines
@anthropicsAnthropic's official skill that applies a fixed brand palette and Poppins/Lora typography to slides, docs and other artifacts.
Instruction-only Markdown skill with no scripts, network access or credentials.
Install Brand Guidelines in Google Antigravity
Antigravity loads skills from .agents/skills/ in your project or ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all projects (official docs). Full guide
Install the "Brand Guidelines" skill for Google Antigravity. Follow the steps at https://www.antigravityskills.org/install/brand-guidelines.md (source: https://github.com/anthropics/skills/tree/main/skills/brand-guidelines). Before running anything, show me what you will download and whether it includes scripts, and wait for my OK. Install it into this project (.agents/skills/) unless I say global. When done, check that Antigravity lists it as an installed skill.
The agent reads the install file, shows you what it will download and waits for your OK.
Option 2: install it yourself
- 1. Clone the source repository
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/anthropics/skills /tmp/anthropic-skills
Download the repository that contains the skill to a temporary folder.
- 2. Copy the skill into your workspace
mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r /tmp/anthropic-skills/skills/brand-guidelines .agents/skills/
Run this from your project root. Antigravity reads workspace skills from <project>/.agents/skills/<folder>/, so you should end up with .agents/skills/brand-guidelines/SKILL.md.
- 3. Or install it globally
mkdir -p ~/.gemini/config/skills && cp -r /tmp/anthropic-skills/skills/brand-guidelines ~/.gemini/config/skills/
Use this instead of the workspace copy to have the skill in every project (Antigravity docs: ~/.gemini/config/skills/). For the Antigravity CLI the global folder is ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/skills/.
- 4. Check that Antigravity sees it
Antigravity 2.0 app: start a new conversation and ask "What skills do you have?" (the app has no /skills command). Antigravity CLI: run /skills; in a session that was already open, run /skills reload first. brand-guidelines is listed.
The anthropics/skills README does not mention Antigravity; it documents Claude Code, Claude.ai and the API. No scripts, API keys or binaries: the folder holds SKILL.md and LICENSE.txt (Apache 2.0). Poppins and Lora are not bundled; without them the output falls back to Arial and Georgia.

What is Brand Guidelines?
How to use Brand Guidelines?
Key features of Brand Guidelines
- ✓We counted at 683bc88: 2 files, SKILL.md (73 lines, 2,235 bytes) and LICENSE.txt (11,345 bytes); no scripts, commands or URLs, so nothing can run.
- ✓We counted: 7 hex colors (4 neutrals #141413, #faf9f5, #b0aea5, #e8e6dc; 3 accents #d97757, #6a9bcc, #788c5d) and 2 fonts, Poppins for headings from 24 pt and Lora for body, with Arial and Georgia as fallbacks.
- ✓We counted: the only tooling named is python-pptx's RGBColor for PowerPoint. The "Smart Font Application" and "Text Styling" bullets describe what the agent should do; no checker enforces them.
- ✓README says: the skill ships in the example-skills plugin; we counted 12 skills in that plugin (.claude-plugin/marketplace.json) out of 19 skill folders in the repo's skills/ directory.
- ✓We compared with git log: the folder has not changed since b9e19e6 (2026-04-20), and is unchanged at HEAD dbd4588 (2026-10-09).
- ✓Difference from ui-ux-pro-max: no data and no search; a fixed palette that serves as a template for your own brand skill. Difference from theme-factory (same repo, 10 pre-set themes): one fixed brand, not a choice of themes.
When to use Brand Guidelines
- 1Keep generated slides and documents on one palette and type pairing
- 2Use as a starting template for your own company brand skill
- 3Restyle an existing artifact so headings, body and shapes follow brand rules
Installation & Setup Guide
Agent Rules / Prompt SetupFollow these steps (taken from the project's own docs) to configure Brand Guidelines in your development environment.
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/skills
Run inside Claude Code. Source: anthropics/skills README, Claude Code section.
/plugin install example-skills@anthropic-agent-skills
brand-guidelines is part of example-skills (README; listed in .claude-plugin/marketplace.json).
Not documented by the project.
Usage Example & Verification
1) Our example: "Apply the brand guidelines to this pitch deck: Poppins headings, Lora body, accent shapes cycling orange, blue and green." -> The agent restyles fonts and colors as SKILL.md describes (headings 24 pt and up in Poppins, body in Lora, non-text shapes cycling the three accents). 2) Our example: "Turn this skill into one for Acme Corp: replace the hex codes with #0A2540 and #F5F7FA and the fonts with Inter." -> It edits your copy of SKILL.md; rename the folder and the name field too, so it does not clash with the original. 3) Our example: "Restyle this HTML page with the brand guidelines and list every color you changed." -> It maps text and background to the dark and light neutrals and uses the accents for highlights; nothing checks compliance, so review the list yourself. (The anthropics/skills README has no brand-guidelines example, so all three are ours.)
Security Review
Static reviewInstruction-only Markdown skill with no scripts, network access or credentials.
Full review: scope, findings, risks
At commit 683bc88 the folder holds two files: SKILL.md (2,235 bytes) and LICENSE.txt. SKILL.md lists hex colors, fonts and how to apply them; it does not tell the agent to run shell commands, read environment variables or contact any host. There are no scripts, so no network calls, file writes or subprocesses exist to review. The only external dependency is optional: the Poppins and Lora fonts, which the skill says should be pre-installed. This is a static review of the files; we did not run the skill.
Operational Notes & Known Limitations
Known Limitations
- •The palette and fonts are Anthropic's own brand; edit SKILL.md to use yours.
- •Poppins and Lora must be installed on your machine, otherwise it falls back to Arial and Georgia.
- •Instructions only: no check that an artifact is actually on-brand.
- •Output quality depends on the file-type tooling your agent already has (e.g. python-pptx for PowerPoint).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Brand Guidelines skill safe?
In our static review of commit 683bc88 it is one Markdown file plus an Apache 2.0 license: no scripts, no network calls, no API keys. It only tells the agent which colors and fonts to use.
How do I install Brand Guidelines in Antigravity?
The anthropics/skills README does not mention Antigravity. Copy skills/brand-guidelines into .agents/skills/ in your project (or ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all projects), then ask "What skills do you have?" (Antigravity CLI: /skills) to confirm.
Can I use it for my own brand?
Yes, by editing it. Copy the folder, rename it and replace the hex codes and font names with yours.
Does it work in Claude Code or Cursor?
Claude Code: the README documents /plugin marketplace add anthropics/skills, then /plugin install example-skills@anthropic-agent-skills. Cursor: not documented by the project.
