Install Theme Factory in Google Antigravity

Antigravity loads skills from .agents/skills/ in your project or ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all projects (official docs). Full guide

EasiestOption 1: paste this to your Antigravity agent
Install the "Theme Factory" skill for Google Antigravity.
Follow the steps at https://www.antigravityskills.org/install/theme-factory.md (source: https://github.com/anthropics/skills/tree/main/skills/theme-factory).
Before running anything, show me what you will download and whether it includes scripts, and wait for my OK.
Install it into this project (.agents/skills/) unless I say global. When done, check that Antigravity lists it as an installed skill.

The agent reads the install file, shows you what it will download and waits for your OK.

Option 2: install it yourself
  1. 1. Download the repository
    git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/anthropics/skills /tmp/anthropic-skills

    The skill lives in skills/theme-factory.

  2. 2. Copy the skill into this project (workspace skill)
    mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r /tmp/anthropic-skills/skills/theme-factory .agents/skills/

Run from your project root. Antigravity then reads .agents/skills/theme-factory/SKILL.md. Keep themes/ and theme-showcase.pdf next to it.

  3. 3. Or install it for all projects (global skill)
    mkdir -p ~/.gemini/config/skills && cp -r /tmp/anthropic-skills/skills/theme-factory ~/.gemini/config/skills/

Use this instead of the previous step. For the Antigravity CLI the global folder is ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/skills/.

  4. 4. Check that Antigravity sees it

Antigravity 2.0 app: start a new conversation and ask "What skills do you have?" (the app has no /skills command). Antigravity CLI: run /skills; in a session that was already open, run /skills reload first. theme-factory is listed.

Anthropic documents only Claude Code, Claude.ai and the API; Antigravity is not mentioned. No API keys, binaries or scripts needed.

What is Theme Factory?

Theme Factory is Anthropic's skill for people who want slides, docs or landing pages to share one ready-made color and font theme. It offers 10 preset themes, lets you pick from a PDF preview, and can invent a new theme from your description.

How to use Theme Factory?

Ask the agent to style a deck or page with the theme factory; it shows theme-showcase.pdf, waits for your pick, then applies that theme file's colors and fonts. If none fits, describe a mood and it writes a new theme for you to review.

Key features of Theme Factory

  • ✓We counted at 683bc88: 13 files, 144,094 bytes; SKILL.md is 59 lines (3,124 bytes) and theme-showcase.pdf is 124,310 bytes of the folder
  • ✓We counted: 10 theme files, each with 4 hex colors (40 in total), a header font and a body font
  • ✓We counted: the fonts are 4 system families only (DejaVu Sans, DejaVu Serif, FreeSans, FreeSerif); no web fonts, no CSS variables
  • ✓We counted: no scripts or commands; SKILL.md's instructions mostly say "deck", although its description also lists docs and landing pages
  • ✓Anthropic's README says the skills are for demonstration and educational purposes only

When to use Theme Factory

  1. 1Restyle a slide deck with a preset theme
  2. 2Give a report or landing page one consistent palette
  3. 3Generate a custom theme from a short brief

Installation & Setup Guide

Agent Rules / Prompt Setup

Follow these steps (taken from the project's own docs) to configure Theme Factory in your development environment.

Step 1: Claude Code: anthropics/skills marketplaceclaude
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/skills
/plugin install example-skills@anthropic-agent-skills

Documented in the anthropics/skills README. theme-factory is one of the 12 skills in the example-skills plugin (.claude-plugin/marketplace.json).

Step 2: Cursorcursor

Not documented by the project.

Usage Example & Verification

Prompt / Request Example
1) Our example: "Use the theme factory to style this quarterly report. Show me the themes first."
-> The agent displays theme-showcase.pdf, asks which of the 10 themes you want, waits, then applies that theme's colors and fonts.

2) Our example: "Apply the Ocean Depths theme to my landing page HTML."
-> It reads themes/ocean-depths.md and uses its 4 colors (#1a2332, #2d8b8b, #a8dadc, #f1faee) and DejaVu Sans fonts.

3) Our example: "None of the themes fit a bakery brand. Make a warm custom theme."
-> SKILL.md's "Create your Own Theme" section: a new theme named like the presets is shown for review, then applied.

Full review: scope, findings, risks
Audit Scope:anthropics/skills at 683bc88, re-read on 2026-10-14 against HEAD dbd4588 (2026-10-09): skills/theme-factory is unchanged (last commit b9e19e6, 2026-04-20). Read SKILL.md, all 10 theme files, LICENSE.txt, README.md and .claude-plugin/marketplace.json; the PDF was counted, not opened.
Key Findings:Instruction and data files only (Markdown themes and a PDF preview). No executable code, no network, no API keys.
Identified Operational Risks & Permissions:Low. It only changes how the agent colors and fonts the artifact you asked for.

Static review at 683bc88 (unchanged at HEAD dbd4588). skills/theme-factory/ contains SKILL.md, LICENSE.txt, theme-showcase.pdf and 10 files under themes/. Each theme file lists 4 colors, header and body fonts and a best-used-for line. SKILL.md tells the agent to display the PDF, ask the user to choose and then apply the theme; it does not ask the agent to run commands. No scripts, so no subprocesses, network calls or file writes beyond the artifact the user asked for. No environment variables or API keys.

Operational Notes & Known Limitations

Known Limitations

  • •Fonts are system fonts (DejaVu, FreeSans, FreeSerif), so the look depends on them being installed where the artifact is shown
  • •The agent needs to be able to display a PDF for the preview step
  • •Instructions only: contrast is left to the agent, and presets are fixed palettes, not a design-token system
  • •Anthropic's skills README and the skill itself do not mention Antigravity (we searched)
