Install Email Marketing in Google Antigravity

Antigravity loads skills from .agents/skills/ in your project or ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all projects (official docs). Full guide

EasiestOption 1: paste this to your Antigravity agent
Install the "Email Marketing" skill for Google Antigravity.
Follow the steps at https://www.antigravityskills.org/install/email-marketing.md (source: https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills/tree/main/skills/emails).
Before running anything, show me what you will download and whether it includes scripts, and wait for my OK.
Install it into this project (.agents/skills/) unless I say global. When done, check that Antigravity lists it as an installed skill.

The agent reads the install file, shows you what it will download and waits for your OK.

Option 2: install it yourself
  1. 1. Clone the source repository
    git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills /tmp/marketingskills

Clone to a temporary folder so you can copy the skill folder out of it.

  2. 2. Copy into your workspace (this project only)
    mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r /tmp/marketingskills/skills/emails .agents/skills/emails

Run this from your project root. Antigravity reads workspace skills from <project>/.agents/skills/<folder>/, so .agents/skills/emails/SKILL.md must exist.

  3. 3. Or copy globally (all projects)
    mkdir -p ~/.gemini/config/skills && cp -r /tmp/marketingskills/skills/emails ~/.gemini/config/skills/emails

Use this instead of the workspace step to have the skill in every project (Antigravity docs: ~/.gemini/config/skills/). For the Antigravity CLI the global folder is ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/skills/.

  4. 4. Check that Antigravity sees it

Ask "What skills do you have?" (Antigravity 2.0 app has no /skills command). Antigravity CLI: run /skills; in a session that was already open, run /skills reload first. The skill should appear as emails.

The marketingskills README does not mention Antigravity. It documents npx skills (Option 1), a Claude Code plugin, a Codex plugin and a clone-and-copy into .agents/skills/ (Option 4); the manual copy above is that Option 4 for one skill. No API keys or binaries needed. Keep the references/ folder next to SKILL.md; optionally also copy skills/copywriting and skills/product-marketing, which emails refers to.

Using Claude Code, Cursor or Codex? See other assistants below.

What is Email Marketing?

emails is a SKILL.md folder in coreyhaines31/marketingskills for designing email sequences, drip campaigns, automated flows and lifecycle email programs. It covers welcome, lead nurture, re-engagement and onboarding sequences with suggested lengths and timing, plus subject line, preview text, copy and CTA guidelines. It is instructions plus three reference files and an evals file, with no scripts.

How to use Email Marketing?

Ask for a sequence (for example a welcome series for trial users). The skill first reads .agents/product-marketing.md (or .claude/product-marketing.md) if present, including its Learnings section so it does not re-propose angles you already tested, then asks about sequence type, audience and goals. It outputs a sequence overview (trigger, goal, length, timing, exit conditions) and each email with send timing, subject, preview, body, CTA and segment conditions, plus a metrics plan.

Key features of Email Marketing

  • ✓We counted at e85f3cb (repo HEAD, 2026-10-19): the skills/emails folder has 5 files and 39,510 bytes: SKILL.md (342 lines, about 1,640 words, 11,548 bytes), three references (email-types 14,250 bytes / 515 lines, sequence-templates 3,909 / 168, copy-guidelines 2,332 / 113) and evals/evals.json (7,471 bytes, 7 test prompts). No scripts.
  • ✓We counted: SKILL.md has a 3-row routing table that tells the agent which reference to load (sequence-templates for flows, email-types for audits, copy-guidelines for single emails), 4 detailed sequence types (welcome, lead nurture, re-engagement, onboarding) and 6 email categories (onboarding, retention, billing, usage, win-back, campaign).
  • ✓SKILL.md gives different numbers in two places: the strategy table says welcome 3-7 emails, while the sequence overview says welcome 5-7 emails over 12-14 days (lead nurture 5-10, onboarding 5-10, re-engagement 3-5). Treat them as ranges, not rules.
  • ✓We counted: the "No AI Tells" section bans 6 general patterns (contrast reveals, negation lists, trailing pile-ons, self-answered questions, stock phrases, em dashes in subject and preview text) plus 3 email-specific ones (subject-line bait such as fake "Re:", stock openers, sign-off filler).
  • ✓Changed since our earlier review: metadata version is now 2.1.4 (was 2.1.3); the new rule makes the agent read the Learnings section of your product-marketing file first and not repeat angles, offers or formats already tested there.
  • ✓We counted: the same repo has 52 skills. Cold outreach goes to cold-email, in-app onboarding to onboarding, landing-page copy to copywriting; SKILL.md's tool table names 6 email tools (Customer.io, Mailchimp, Nitrosend, Resend, SendGrid, Kit), 3 of them marked as having an MCP server.
  • ✓README says it works with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Windsurf and any agent that supports the Agent Skills spec; Antigravity is not mentioned (we searched the repo), and its .agents/product-marketing.md context path happens to sit in the same .agents/ folder Antigravity uses for skills.

When to use Email Marketing

  1. 1Welcome sequence for new free-trial users
  2. 2Lead nurture sequence after a lead magnet download
  3. 3Re-engagement or win-back emails for inactive users
  4. 4Billing emails such as failed payment recovery or renewal reminders

Installation & Setup Guide

Agent Rules / Prompt Setup

Follow these steps (taken from the project's own docs) to configure Email Marketing in your development environment.

Step 1: Install with npx skillsclaude
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill emails

README Option 1. Add -a claude-code when running from inside an agent session so it installs where Claude Code reads skills.

Step 2: Claude Code pluginclaude
claude plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills && claude plugin install marketing-skills@marketingskills

README Option 2; installs all 52 marketing skills.

Step 3: Cursorcursor

The README names Cursor as supported and recommends npx skills (Option 1); it gives no Cursor-specific steps.

Usage Example & Verification

Prompt / Request Example
1) Repo eval prompt (evals/evals.json #1): "Create a welcome email sequence for new users who sign up for our project management tool's free trial. The trial is 14 days. We want to get them to their aha moment (creating their first project and inviting a team member)."
-> The eval expects a 5-7 email sequence with one job per email, each mapped to a goal in the 14-day trial, with timing between emails.

2) Repo eval prompt (#4): "Build a re-engagement sequence for subscribers who haven't opened any emails in 90 days. We have about 5,000 inactive subscribers."
-> The eval expects 3-4 emails ending in a clear last-chance email before removal.

3) Our example: "Write the first email of a welcome sequence for our meal-planning app, with a subject line and preview text."
-> One email that opens with the reason for writing; the "No AI Tells" rules apply (no fake Re:, no em dash in the subject or preview).

Full review: scope, findings, risks
Audit Scope:coreyhaines31/marketingskills at e85f3cb (HEAD, 2026-10-19): skills/emails/ (SKILL.md metadata version 2.1.4, references/email-types.md, references/sequence-templates.md, references/copy-guidelines.md, evals/evals.json), the first lines of skills/product-marketing/SKILL.md, README.md install sections, .claude-plugin/marketplace.json and LICENSE. git diff against c7d7dfb (our earlier review) shows one change in the folder: SKILL.md 2.1.3 to 2.1.4 (Learnings rule). Static review only.
Key Findings:Instructions only; no scripts. The agent may read .agents/product-marketing.md, .claude/product-marketing.md or the legacy product-marketing-context.md. External URLs are links to the repo's own tools/REGISTRY.md and integration guides on github.com. No commands, environment variables or API keys.
Identified Operational Risks & Permissions:Minimal. Any email platform integration you add later (MCP or API) would need its own credentials and review.

skills/emails contains SKILL.md, three Markdown files under references/ and evals/evals.json (test prompts and expected outputs). There are no executable files. SKILL.md tells the agent to read a local product-marketing context file (.agents/product-marketing.md, .claude/product-marketing.md or the legacy product-marketing-context.md) if it exists, including its Learnings section. All URLs in SKILL.md point to github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills (tools/REGISTRY.md and tools/integrations/*.md). No environment variables, API keys or shell commands are referenced. This is a static review; we did not run it.

Operational Notes & Known Limitations

Known Limitations

  • •Writes strategy and copy; it does not send email or connect to an email platform by itself.
  • •Sending needs your own email tool; the skill only links to integration guides in the repo's tools/ folder on GitHub.
  • •Cold outreach and in-app onboarding are handled by other skills in the repo (cold-email, onboarding); without them the agent can only point you there.
  • •Works best with a product-marketing context file, which comes from the repo's separate product-marketing skill.
  • •Sequence length ranges differ between two sections of SKILL.md (welcome 3-7 vs 5-7).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Email Marketing skill safe?

In our static review of commit e85f3cb the emails folder is SKILL.md, three Markdown references and an evals.json file, with no scripts or commands. It reads a local product-marketing context file if one exists and links to integration guides on github.com; it never sends email itself.

How do I install Email Marketing in Antigravity?

The marketingskills README does not mention Antigravity. Clone https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills and copy skills/emails into .agents/skills/emails (this project) or ~/.gemini/config/skills/emails (all projects), then ask "What skills do you have?" (Antigravity CLI: /skills).

Can it send the emails?

No. It produces the sequence plan and copy; you send through a tool such as Mailchimp, Customer.io, Resend, SendGrid or Kit.

What sequences does it cover?

Welcome, lead nurture, re-engagement and onboarding sequences in detail, plus retention, billing, usage, win-back and campaign email types.

Does it handle cold emails?

No, SKILL.md points cold outreach to the separate cold-email skill in the same repository.
