SEO Audit
@sickn33Instruction-only skill for diagnosing crawlability, indexation and on-page SEO problems: it asks for scope first, then reports evidence-backed findings with severity and confidence. It does not crawl or connect to any account.
Markdown-only audit guide; no scripts, no network, no keys, no account access.
Install SEO Audit in Google Antigravity
Antigravity loads skills from .agents/skills/ in your project or ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all projects (official docs). Full guide
Install the "SEO Audit" skill for Google Antigravity. Follow the steps at https://www.antigravityskills.org/install/seo-audit.md (source: https://github.com/sickn33/antigravity-awesome-skills/tree/main/skills/seo-audit). Before running anything, show me what you will download and whether it includes scripts, and wait for my OK. Install it into this project (.agents/skills/) unless I say global. When done, check that Antigravity lists it as an installed skill.
The agent reads the install file, shows you what it will download and waits for your OK.
Option 2: install it yourself
- 1. Download the repository
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/sickn33/antigravity-awesome-skills.git /tmp/ag-skills && git -C /tmp/ag-skills log -1 --format=%h
We reviewed commit 2984de1. If the second command prints a different hash, the skill may have changed since our review.
- 2. Copy the skill into this project (workspace skill)
mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r /tmp/ag-skills/skills/seo-audit .agents/skills/
Run from your project root. Antigravity reads workspace skills from .agents/skills/<folder>/; this folder holds one file, SKILL.md (no scripts).
- 3. Or install it for all projects (global skill)
mkdir -p ~/.gemini/config/skills && cp -r /tmp/ag-skills/skills/seo-audit ~/.gemini/config/skills/
Use this instead of the previous step. Copy only the skills you need: the repo README warns that a large watched skills folder can overload Antigravity's context.
- 4. Check that Antigravity sees it
Antigravity app: start a new conversation and ask "What skills do you have?"; seo-audit should be listed. Antigravity CLI: run /skills (/skills reload in a session that was already open).
The repository's own installer (npx agentic-awesome-skills --antigravity --skills <ids> --dry-run, README) can also install selected skills; the copy steps above use the standard Antigravity skill folders and install only this one.

What is SEO Audit?
How to use SEO Audit?
Key features of SEO Audit
- ✓We counted at 2984de1: one file, SKILL.md, 481 lines and 13,335 bytes; no scripts, no other files in skills/seo-audit/.
- ✓Scope gate: before a full audit the skill asks about business context (site type, goal, markets), SEO focus (full site or sections; technical, on-page, content) and data access (Search Console, analytics, known issues or recent changes), and says to state assumptions if context is missing.
- ✓Audit order is fixed: 1 crawlability and indexation, 2 technical foundations, 3 on-page optimization, 4 content quality and E-E-A-T, 5 authority and signals.
- ✓Checklists cover robots.txt, XML sitemaps, site architecture, indexation problems (noindex, canonical conflicts, redirect chains, soft 404s), Core Web Vitals (LCP at or below 2.5 s, INP at or below 200 ms, CLS at or below 0.1, judged on field data at the 75th percentile), mobile-friendliness, HTTPS, titles, meta descriptions, headings, images and internal links.
- ✓Every finding must list Issue, Category, Evidence, Severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low), Confidence (High, Medium, Low), Why It Matters, optional Score Impact and Recommendation; the text says not to rely on intuition or best-practice claims as evidence.
- ✓Optional SEO Health Index: weights 30 / 25 / 20 / 15 / 10 across crawlability and indexation, technical, on-page, content and E-E-A-T, authority and trust. Each category starts at 100 and loses 15-30 per critical issue, 10 per high, 5 per medium, 1-3 per low. The file calls it a subjective rubric, not a search-engine metric, and says a high score with unresolved critical issues is invalid.
- ✓Ends with a prioritized action plan in four groups (critical blockers, high-impact improvements, quick wins, longer-term opportunities) and names four follow-up skills: programmatic-seo, schema-markup, page-cro, analytics-tracking.
When to use SEO Audit
- 1Check why important pages are not indexed
- 2Review a site migration or redesign for redirect and canonical problems
- 3Turn Search Console exports into a ranked list of fixes
- 4Get a structured second opinion before paying for an audit
Installation & Setup Guide
Agent Rules / Prompt SetupFollow these steps (taken from the project's own docs) to configure SEO Audit in your development environment.
mkdir -p .claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/ag-skills/skills/seo-audit .claude/skills/
Not documented per skill by the repository; this uses Claude Code's standard .claude/skills/ folder after the clone above.
The README lists installer targets for several hosts, but gives no per-skill Cursor path, so we do not list one.
Usage Example & Verification
1) SKILL.md example: a legacy URL redirects to a new catalog. Fetch the legacy URL and every redirect hop, inspect final status, canonical and robots directives, and compare the destination with sitemap and internal links. Expected: a finite redirect chain to the intended indexable URL with no conflicting canonical; then check Search Console separately. 2) Our example: "Audit the indexation of example.com/blog. Here is the Search Console coverage export and the sitemap URL. Report findings with evidence, severity and confidence, and no score." -> The agent should list each issue with the URLs that prove it and ask for anything it cannot see. 3) Our example: "Give me the SEO Health Index for the pricing section only." -> Per the skill the score must name its scope (pricing section) and mark categories it did not inspect as unknown.
Security Review
Static reviewMarkdown-only audit guide; no scripts, no network, no keys, no account access.
Full review: scope, findings, risks
skills/seo-audit/ contains one file, SKILL.md (481 lines, 13,335 bytes). We read it in full and searched it for commands, URLs, keys and code blocks. Result: no shell commands, no scripts, no API keys, no tool connections; one external link (Google Core Web Vitals guidance). The only fenced block is a plain-text scoring formula. README says the project is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Google; its install section documents Antigravity IDE and CLI (agy) installers. This is a static review; we did not run the skill.
Operational Notes & Known Limitations
Known Limitations
- •Text only: it does not crawl, render pages or query Search Console. Findings are only as good as the data you give the agent or it can open.
- •The scoring rubric is subjective. The file itself says the score reflects SEO readiness, not guaranteed rankings, and that a scoped score must not be compared with a full-site score.
- •Canonical tags are signals and a sitemap entry is not proof of indexation (the file says so); a correct HTTP response does not prove Google indexed the page.
- •Core Web Vitals thresholds are written into the skill; check Google's current documentation before relying on them.
- •Does not implement fixes unless you ask; schema, programmatic pages and CRO are left to other skills.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the SEO Audit skill safe?
In our static review of commit 2984de1 it is one Markdown file. We read all 481 lines and searched for commands, URLs and keys: the only link is Google's Core Web Vitals page, and there are no scripts, no network calls and no API keys.
How do I install SEO Audit in Antigravity?
Clone sickn33/antigravity-awesome-skills, copy skills/seo-audit into .agents/skills/ (or ~/.gemini/config/skills/), then ask "What skills do you have?" (Antigravity CLI: /skills). The project README documents its own installer for selected skills.
Does it crawl my site or read Search Console?
No. It is instructions only. You give it exports, URLs or pasted evidence, or use a separate tool that can fetch pages.
What is the SEO Health Index?
An optional 0-100 rubric in the skill: five weighted categories, deductions by severity. The skill calls it a subjective audit rubric, not a validated search-engine metric, and it only appears when you ask for a score.
Is it an official Google skill?
No. It is community-contributed to an independent collection whose README says it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
