Instruction-only skill for deciding whether structured data is justified on a page and then writing valid JSON-LD for it. It scores eligibility first and tells the agent to stop when markup would be unsupported or misleading.

Install Schema Markup in Google Antigravity

Antigravity loads skills from .agents/skills/ in your project or ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all projects (official docs). Full guide

EasiestOption 1: paste this to your Antigravity agent
Install the "Schema Markup" skill for Google Antigravity.
Follow the steps at https://www.antigravityskills.org/install/schema-markup.md (source: https://github.com/sickn33/antigravity-awesome-skills/tree/main/skills/schema-markup).
Before running anything, show me what you will download and whether it includes scripts, and wait for my OK.
Install it into this project (.agents/skills/) unless I say global. When done, check that Antigravity lists it as an installed skill.

The agent reads the install file, shows you what it will download and waits for your OK.

Option 2: install it yourself
  1. 1. Download the repository
    git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/sickn33/antigravity-awesome-skills.git /tmp/ag-skills && git -C /tmp/ag-skills log -1 --format=%h

    We reviewed commit 2984de1. If the second command prints a different hash, the skill may have changed since our review.

  2. 2. Copy the skill into this project (workspace skill)
    mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r /tmp/ag-skills/skills/schema-markup .agents/skills/

    Run from your project root. Antigravity reads workspace skills from .agents/skills/<folder>/; this folder holds one file, SKILL.md (no scripts).

  3. 3. Or install it for all projects (global skill)
    mkdir -p ~/.gemini/config/skills && cp -r /tmp/ag-skills/skills/schema-markup ~/.gemini/config/skills/

    Use this instead of the previous step. Copy only the skills you need: the repo README warns that a large watched skills folder can overload Antigravity's context.

  4. 4. Check that Antigravity sees it

    Antigravity app: start a new conversation and ask "What skills do you have?"; schema-markup should be listed. Antigravity CLI: run /skills (/skills reload in a session that was already open).

The repository's own installer (npx agentic-awesome-skills --antigravity --skills <ids> --dry-run, README) can also install selected skills; the copy steps above use the standard Antigravity skill folders and install only this one.

What is Schema Markup?

schema-markup is a community skill in sickn33's antigravity-awesome-skills repository for schema.org structured data. It is one Markdown file (SKILL.md, 374 lines, 8,346 bytes). Its main idea is restraint: before writing any JSON-LD the agent must work out a Schema Eligibility and Impact Index and stop if the verdict is "Do Not Implement". It then lists the types it considers appropriate and a required output format. It contains no scripts and does not validate anything itself; you run Google's tools.

How to use Schema Markup?

Install the folder, then tell the agent the page type, what is visible on the page and which rich result (if any) you want. The skill asks five questions if needed: visible content, target rich result, templated or editorial, how the data is maintained and whether schema already exists. Paste the JSON-LD it returns into your template and check it with the Rich Results Test.

Key features of Schema Markup

  • ✓We counted at 2984de1: one file, SKILL.md, 374 lines and 8,346 bytes; no scripts.
  • ✓Phase 0 index (0-100) has six weighted categories: content-schema alignment 25, rich result eligibility 25, data completeness 20, technical correctness 15, maintenance 10, spam or policy risk 5. Verdict bands: 85-100 strong candidate, 70-84 valid but limited, 55-69 high risk, below 55 do not implement.
  • ✓Schema that describes content not shown on the page is an "automatic failure"; the principles say to match visible content exactly, never add content just for schema, and remove schema when the content goes.
  • ✓Names 11 type groups it supports when criteria are met: Organization, WebSite with SearchAction, Article or BlogPosting, Product, SoftwareApplication, FAQPage, HowTo, BreadcrumbList, LocalBusiness, Review or AggregateRating, Event. Reviews must be genuine and not self-serving.
  • ✓Use @graph for several entities on one page, with one primary entity; follow Google's rich result documentation before schema.org alone.
  • ✓Required output: strategy summary with score and verdict, a JSON-LD block, placement instructions and a checklist (valid JSON-LD, passes Rich Results Test, matches visible content, meets Google eligibility rules). Validation tools named: Google Rich Results Test, Schema.org Validator, Search Console Enhancements.

When to use Schema Markup

  1. 1Decide whether a page should have structured data at all
  2. 2Write Article, Product or SoftwareApplication JSON-LD that matches the visible page
  3. 3Check existing markup for hidden or fabricated values
  4. 4Template JSON-LD for a CMS or Next.js site

Installation & Setup Guide

Agent Rules / Prompt Setup

Follow these steps (taken from the project's own docs) to configure Schema Markup in your development environment.

Step 1: Claude Code (manual copy)claude
mkdir -p .claude/skills && cp -r /tmp/ag-skills/skills/schema-markup .claude/skills/

Not documented per skill by the repository; this uses Claude Code's standard .claude/skills/ folder after the clone above.

Step 2: Cursor: not documented by the projectcursor

The README lists installer targets for several hosts, but gives no per-skill Cursor path, so we do not list one.

Usage Example & Verification

Prompt / Request Example
1) SKILL.md output format: a Schema Strategy Summary (score and verdict), a JSON-LD block with "@context": "https://schema.org", placement instructions and a validation checklist.

2) Our example: "Should this blog post have schema? Here is the page text and URL. If yes, write BlogPosting JSON-LD."
-> The agent first reports the eligibility index and verdict, then (only if the score is at least 70) the JSON-LD and where to put it.

3) Our example: "Our pricing page lists plans but no reviews. Add AggregateRating so we get stars."
-> Per the skill this should be refused: ratings must match visible, genuine reviews, and self-serving or invented ones are listed as a failure pattern.

Full review: scope, findings, risks
Audit Scope:skills/schema-markup/SKILL.md read in full, plus the repository README install and disclaimer sections and LICENSE, all at commit 2984de1 (2026-10-21). Static review only; nothing was executed.
Key Findings:Instructions only. No shell commands, no URLs other than the https://schema.org context in an example JSON block, no keys, no installs, no file writes. Frontmatter says risk: critical; that label does not match any code or action in the file, so we treat it as a warning about the cost of wrong markup. Tells the agent not to add schema that misrepresents content.
Identified Operational Risks & Permissions:Low for the skill itself. The real risk is output: invalid or misleading structured data can be ignored or, if deceptive, hurt a site in search, so validate before deploying.

skills/schema-markup/ contains one file, SKILL.md (374 lines, 8,346 bytes). We read it in full and searched for commands, URLs and keys. Result: no shell commands, no scripts, no API keys; the only URL is "https://schema.org" inside an example JSON-LD block. Frontmatter says risk: critical; nothing in the file executes anything. README says the project is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Google; its install section documents Antigravity IDE and CLI (agy) installers. This is a static review; we did not run the skill.

Operational Notes & Known Limitations

Known Limitations

  • •Text only: it does not fetch the page or run a validator. You must run the Rich Results Test, Schema.org Validator and Search Console yourself.
  • •The eligibility index is a subjective diagnostic score; the skill says it is not a promise of rich results.
  • •The file does not say which types Google currently shows as rich results (for example FAQPage and HowTo); check Google's current documentation before targeting one.
  • •Its example JSON-LD is a placeholder ("@type": "..."); the agent has to fill it from your page.
  • •The closing "When to Use" and "Limitations" sections are generic template text; the real scope is described in the sections above them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Schema Markup skill safe?

In our static review of commit 2984de1 it is one Markdown file with no scripts, no network calls and no API keys. Its frontmatter says risk: critical, but the file only contains instructions; the label appears to describe the consequences of wrong markup, not code that does anything.

How do I install Schema Markup in Antigravity?

Clone sickn33/antigravity-awesome-skills, copy skills/schema-markup into .agents/skills/ (or ~/.gemini/config/skills/), then ask "What skills do you have?" (Antigravity CLI: /skills).

Will it get me rich results?

No. The skill says it does not guarantee rich results and starts by testing whether schema is justified. Google decides what to show.

Does it validate the JSON-LD?

No. It lists Google's Rich Results Test, the Schema.org Validator and Search Console Enhancements and tells you to run them.

Is it an official Google skill?

No. It is community-contributed to an independent collection whose README says it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
